Breadmakers

The aroma of freshly baked bread is so mouth-watering and homely that it’s often said to be a smell that can help you to tempt people to buy your home when it’s on the market. And even if you aren’t selling your house, warm home-baked bread is delicious whether you are having it with jam for breakfast, with soup for lunch or as an accompaniment to an evening meal. Most of us don’t have the time to spend hours in the kitchen baking any more, but with a growing number of breadmakers on the market you can still enjoy making and eating your own bread.

Many people now use breadmakers to make their own bread with reduced salt following recommendations to reduce salt in food to lower blood pressure.

What are Breadmakers?

Breadmakers are excellent time-saving kitchen appliances as they allow you to make freshly home-baked bread without you having to spend time and energy mixing the ingredients and kneading the dough.

Image of BreadmakerYou can either use pre-packaged bread mixes in your bread machine or use your own recipes. All you need to do is add the ingredients and the breadmaker will mix them, knead the dough, let it rise and bake the bread. Virtually all breadmakers have timers on them so that you can programme them, allowing you to go off and do other things whilst your bread is being made.

Many breadmakers also allow you to make a variety of other things along with standard loaves of bread such as fruit bread, bread rolls, pizza bases, pasta dough, croissants, scones, cakes and even jam.
