Russell Hobbs was founded in 1952 by Bill Russell and Peter Hobbs, and the brand has been synonymous with high-quality kitchen appliances from the beginning. In 1955, Russell Hobbs introduced the first automatic kettle, and has since been responsible for a number of major technological advances.

Russell Hobbs was bought by Salton Europe in 1991, and has continued to produce a wide range of electrical appliances that are especially popular for their combination of value for money, convenience and appealing design.
