George Foreman Introduction
George Foreman is a noted boxer, preacher and promoter of health grills.
George Foreman enjoyed a successful amateur boxing career and won the heavyweight gold medal at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. The following year George Foreman turned professional and went on to become world heavyweight champion in 1973.
After retiring from professional boxing in 1977 with numerous boxing titles and achievements, George Foreman became a born again Christian and worked as preacher. He returned to boxing in 1987, and in 1994 won the world heavyweight title again. A year later Foreman built on his sporting successes and entered the food appliance business, launching the George Foreman Lean Mean Fat-Reducing Grilling Machine.
The George Foreman grills became popular around the world, and commonly feature an attractive clamshell design. Like other health grills, George Foreman grills are structured to enable fat to drain away, for healthier cooked food.
